CONCERTS : All details available from Sarah-Jane unless otherwise stated DORKING HALLS LUNCHTIME RECITALS - 12.10 - 12.55 Sponsored by The Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust, The Mole Valley Arts Forum,Watson Wyatt Worldwide and Surrey County Council 2010 17th September : Sarah-Jane and Rebecca Louise Smith (Harp) will be performing their own eclectic mix of music to delight including a Songs from the Movies section. 14th October : PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A THURSDAY Reigate Grammar School Swing Band will return by popular demand to bring their own uplifting and enthusiastic music to the Dorking Halls. 11th November : Dirkjan Rizjin : We are extremely lucky to have engaged one of Europe's most well-known and exciting organists to come and give a concert at Dorking. Dirk is a wizard on the organ and will astound you with his fingers on the keys. see Dirk's website for more details www.dirkjanranzijn.nl 14th January 2011 : Roger Hind will perform his Sentimental Journey programme. Have you ever wondered where our jazz standards and popular songs come from. Roger will astound you with the links between Classical Music and the songs we think of as popular. Not to be missed. 18th February 2011 : In the Main Hall : Surrey Harmony will return with their own mix of music. Those of you who have experienced the ladies concerts before will know you are in for a treat. 25th March 2011 : A little Irish flavour to celebrate St Patricks Day (a week late I know but better late than never!) Jean Kelly and Dermot Crehan will wow you with fiddle and harp to take your breath away. Jean plays harp on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack and Dermot has been All Irish Fiddle Champion three times so you will be tapping your toes along to their wonderful music. 29th April 2011 : Heather Hoyle (Sax) and Martin Kolarides (Guitar) : One of the best know jazz duos in the country , a laid back concert for Spring. 20th May 2011 : TBC 17th June 2011 : Well you wouldn't let them go at 1pm this year so Caribana Steel Band will be back in 2011 to get us in the mood for Summer!
